A woman with short blonde hair smiling and posing in a casual office. She is wearing a grey button-up shirt, ripped jeans, and white sneakers. Her left hand is resting on a white desk with organized papers and a black file organizer. Behind her is a neutral-colored couch with a white blanket and a small potted plant on a windowsill. The office has a green wall with two framed posters, one about Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the other with motivational text. Natural sunlight is coming through the window, casting shadows on the wall.
A woman and a dog sharing a joyful moment, with the woman leaning close to the dog, who is sitting on a striped sofa. The woman is smiling and the dog appears to be happy.
A woman sitting on a chair smiling during a conversation or interview with a person whose back is facing the camera, in a room with a green wall, framed botanical illustrations, and a round mirror reflecting a window and a plant. There is also a wooden cabinet with a projector and a tissue box on top, and a patterned rug on the floor.

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away”

- Maya Angelou

Hello! My name is Abby and I would love the opportunity to get to know you and see if I would be a good fit as your therapist!

Are you feeling like you are stuck, anxious, need a change, or doubting your self? Have you ever wanted someone non-judgmental to talk to? I know exactly what you're feeling: everyone has their opinions on decisions you make, just doing life is hard, constantly feeling on edge. All of these can be true AND let me see if I can help navigate some of that. Living in our society right now is really hard and I hope to collaborate with you to make living life a little easier.

I take a very person-centered approach to therapy. Each person has their own unique experience and story. While I do have background in several therapy techniques (CBT, DBT, solution focused, ERP, motivational interviewing) I prefer to use ALL of these and more to meet your presenting needs. I love feedback and working collaboratively with clients to ensure you are benefiting from therapy. I have worked as a therapist at a higher level of care for the past two years in outpatient therapy programs. Prior to working at a higher level of care I was a school counselor at a middle school for a few years. I have experience working with both adolescents and adults. My goal is to help you learn new tools to manage your symptoms and provide a safe space to share your story with me.

I believe that everyone deserves equal rights to quality mental health care. I also believe that all people should be treated equally regardless of: race, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, living situation, relationship dynamic, etc. I am a strong supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have experienced my own fair share of anxiety and depression, with a sprinkle of trauma for good measure. I am a huge Wisconsin sports fan and enjoy watching basketball. I feel that Caitlin Clark is the best women's basketball player of all time, however I will not judge you if you are not aware of that obvious fact. I love to run and ran a couple of marathons, now running 2 miles is HARD. I would love the opportunity to see if I could be a good addition to your support system, please send me a message for a free 15 minute consultation!
